Attended medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit followed by residency and a fellowship at University of Wisconsin in Madison. I chose to pursue Family Medicine as it allows me to know a patient within the setting of their family and community dynamics. By creating relationships and learning about an individual’s values, family doctors can more easily partner with patients to achieve their goals. I grew up in a small town on the shores of Lake Superior which gave me an appreciation for not only family medicine but also community medicine. I particularly find joy in reproductive health, LGBTQ+ health care, integrative medicine, and resident education.
Outside of medicine I enjoy skiing, sewing, cycling, and spending time with my spouse and dog.
