Dr. McLandress was appointed to the Board of Health in 1985 and serves as the Board’s physician representative. He is a Board Certified Family Physician and had been a partner at Family Medicine Coeur d’Alene, since it opened in 1977. Dr. McLandress then became the Program Director of the Kootenai Health Family Medicine Coeur d’Alene Residency in 2013, where he continues presently. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Washington. Dr. McLandress completed his M.D., Family Medicine
Residency and Advanced Certificate in Health Care Ethics at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Family Medicine Spokane Residency.
He currently holds the appointment of Clinical Professor, University of Washington School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine.
