At Panhandle Heath District, we understand the impact cancer has on families in our community. We seek to decrease the burden of cancer for the people of North Idaho by raising awareness of prevention and early detection strategies, while increasing access to screenings to lower the risk of dying with cancer. Our cancer prevention efforts include skin cancer prevention with childcare facilities to promote protection at an early age, as well as working with clinics in the area to promote the HPV vaccine and foster clinic collaboration on preventing cancer.
We offer screenings for the following types of cancer:
You may qualify for free breast and cervical screenings through the Women’s Health Check program. To check your eligibility or if you are a provider and would like to refer a patient, please check eligibility here. If you have further questions call Hillary at 208-415-5280.
