Licensed Practical Nurses – COVID-19 Response Team

Join our COVID-19 Response Team at Panhandle Health District! We are looking for Licensed Practical Nurses to assist with contact tracing, COVID-19 call center, off-site testing, and personal protective gear distribution. Positions are eligible for benefits, of limited duration, and open until filled. Immunizations & Health Promotions Internship

We have an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in public health. This is a temporary, internship that will provide support to the Health Promotions and Immunizations teams. This intern will gain hands-on experience working in the field of immunizations and will collaborate closely with the Immunizations Coordinator and North Idaho school nurses.

Duties may include:

  • Working with the Immunizations Coordinator and North Idaho school nurses to increase immunization rates.
  • Reviewing, analyzing and interpreting North Idaho school immunization data.
  • Entering missing data into IRIS and school management software.
  • Contacting parents to obtain missing immunization records.
  • Creating reports based off findings and recommendations.
  • Preparing and distributing fact sheets, brochures and signage.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Good knowledge of public health principles and practices to include needs assessment, information dissemination, basic disease etiologies and preventative strategies, survey methods and basic statistics used to collect and interpret data.
  • Good knowledge of state and federal requirements related to maintenance, privacy, confidentiality, security and rights of access of patient health records.
  • Good knowledge developing or reviewing health-related informational material.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office applications.
