Citizen Review Panel

Improving the lives of children.

About the Citizen Review Panel

Each public health district in the state of Idaho will establish a Citizen Review Panel for the purpose of evaluating and providing recommendations for the improvement of the child protection system within their district.

Each panel will be made up of seven (7) members. Members must reside within the boundaries of the public health district. Panel members are volunteers who represent our community and include members who provide expertise in the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect. Members may include adults who are former victims of child abuse or neglect.

It is our hope to create a panel comprised of members from diverse professional backgrounds who demonstrate a strong motivation to improve the lives of children.

Each panel will review all cases brought under the child protection act that have been in the corresponding district court, or other appropriate local jurisdiction, longer than one hundred twenty (120) days.
