Call Me Documentary Premier
August 11 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Panhandle Health District’s Substance Use Disorder Program has been working diligently with community partners to find solutions, bring awareness, and reduce the stigma surrounding addiction and opioid misuse. One of our projects that was produced from our program is the Call Me Campaign. The Campaign focuses on decreasing stigma faced by people experiencing mental health illness, substance use disorders, and homelessness.
After the creation of the Call Me Campaign, our community consortium felt inspired to continue the conversation and further the attention on the harm of stigma in our community. From that inspiration, the Call Me Documentary was created.
The Call Me documentary provides first-hand accounts from five local, North Idaho residents as they share their stories of recovery. The film includes information of our local mental health drug court and medication for addiction treatment. Commentary from two professionals working in substance use disorder further the message that addiction is a disease and the hope of recovery is possible.
*Please note this film is not rated but is recommended for ages 12 and up due to sensitive content.
